How To Release Financial Bondage

Are you ready to release financial bondage?

With the release of The Renaissance Album, Beyonce, with the help of Big Freedia, is giving permission to release it.

"Release your anger, Release your mind, Release your job, Release the time, Release your trade, Release the stress, Release the love, and forget the rest."

This inspired the Wealth & Wisdom Together™episode 50, Preparing For Peace: What Is Your Exit Strategy. As Beyonce encourages us to leave situations that don't serve us and look for motivation or a new foundation, it's truly difficult to release these situations and stop allowing others to break our souls if we don't have financial stability or are financially prepared.

Whether or not you’re a Beyonce fan, we commonly connect to music based on our experiences. When we first heard Beyonce’s newest release, Break My Soul, we immediately connected the message to spiritual warfare. The conflict, chaos, and fear that come with financial bondage is spiritual warfare, and if our faith isn’t strong enough to be content in every situation (as Paul said), it can be easy to allow money to break our souls.

In a world where money is power, we’ve witnessed Christians who don’t have enough money constantly praying for more, and Christians with more than enough money have fears of losing it. While we all manage our finances physically, financial bondage can often take a toll on us spiritually.

But the Word Of God is a powerful weapon that we, as Christians, can use to defeat the enemy's tactics. From the natural to the spiritual, Ephesians 6 instructs us to put on the full Armor of God every day so that we are equipped with the tools we need to be spiritually victorious and financially abundant.

As your favorite financial coaches, business aunties, and sisters in Christ, we want to show you how you can apply the FULL Armor of God to your financial situation to gain wealth and wisdom in your life:

  • Helmet Of Salvation: A helmet is designed to protect the mind. When it comes to finances, it’s important for you to seek salvation and renew your mind in Christ so that you’re mentally and spiritually prepared to receive the Lord’s instructions.

  • Belt Of Truth: An honest living will always reap an honest award. When it comes to your financial strategy, be honest with yourself. Tell the truth about what’s holding you back, and rely on the truthful Word Of God to guide you forward. A belt surrounds you and keeps everything from falling, so allow truth to keep you on track to make an honest living.

  • Breastplate Of Righteousness: According to Luke 6:45, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.” A breastplate is designed to protect our hearts, so we must live righteously for Christ and store up good treasures in our hearts to speak to our financial situations and declare wealth and abundance over our lives.

  • Shoes Of Peace: Regardless of how much money you make, finding peace in your environment, workplace, and/or financial situation is important. God’s peace will guide our steps and position us to bring forth abundance. His peace will also protect us as we generate financial resources.

  • Shield Of Faith: The Bible says that it is impossible to please God without faith. Faith is the absence of things unseen and the substance of things hoped for. Faith in God and his promises will fill you with peace and confidence regarding your finances. God's plans are intended to prosper us, so have faith that his word will come to pass.

  • Sword Of The Word Of God: The Bible is the best financial advice and education on Earth. Its pages contain everything from how to get out of debt to how to save, tithe, invest, and make money. Jesus even teaches us how to steward the resources we are given. Rely on the Word for your financial guidance.

Last but not least….

  • Prayer: Although Prayer is mentioned as secondary to the Armor, prayer is your most powerful weapon because it allows you to communicate your financial hopes, goals, and visions to the Lord and seek his instruction as you walk through life!

When it comes to your finances, you always have an exit strategy with God because He will always prepare YOU even more than your money. Money can only break your soul if you give it that power. How are you spiritually equipping yourself to handle your finances?
